Care Group

About

The Care Group provides short term emergency care and assistance to people in need who belong to the OLGC and All Hallows Parish, including the school communities.  We typically organize transport and meals but our role evolves depending on individual needs and circumstances. Members also assist in preparing the Masses of the Anointing throughout the year and provide refreshments following this.

Recent Events

We respond to requests on a case by case basis. Over the past year, our volunteers have provided meals to families suffering illness or injury and have helped with transport to and from school, where there has been a need.

Our role evolves depending on individual needs and circumstances and may include home visits and other assistance where needed.

Each request is addressed by the Care Group according to individual circumstances and the resources available. All requests are treated as confidential and help is only offered with the consent of the family involved.

We are supported by over sixty volunteers and we endeavour to call on each volunteer no more than once or twice per year.
